Hello, my name is Gemma Byrne. I am a model-maker from Ireland living in Manchester. I am a graduate of Modelmaking for Animation at NFTS, with a first class honours Degree in 3D Design, Model-making and Digital Effects from IADT.
Making things is what I love to do with a career that spans across renowned companies like Mackinnon & Saunders and contributions to beloved children's TV shows such as "The Sound Collector" on ITVX, as well as Netflix hits like "The House" and the captivating documentary "The Spark Brothers". My journey in the realm of stop-motion animation is a testament to my dedication to craftsmanship and storytelling.
For as long as I can remember, I've been captivated by the magic of bringing inanimate objects to life through meticulous artistry and the power of imagination. I have a deep-seated love for crafting intricate models, puppets, and animated characters, each infused with their own unique personality and charm.
