THE MYSTIC - MACNAS
Macnas, a spectacle arts company, ‘are master storytellers who inspire and engage audiences by creating big, bold, visual shows and performances through world-class theatrical spectacle’.
I was extremely lucky to be one of five IADT graduates selected to work with Macnas as part of their Engineers of Imagination Program in October 2017.
During my time with Macnas I got to do a bit of everything. I did willow weaving, clay sculpting, polyscupting, macramé, papermache, plaster molding, created head pieces and puppeteered in the Parade.
I was also very fortunate to be one of two who got to work with Paul McDonnell, poly sculpting the large puppet head, we then paper mached it as a group and hollowed out the inside.
